"Pump up the volume"

This morning, ( woke up late); the first thought that 'popped up' ( transmission) was the phrase: "pump up the volume".
"?????"is what I thought, isn't that the name of a song? Not really known to me , I could recall something vague like the melody from "pump it up", but that was another song.(?).
So I searched on Google, found the Youtube video and the lyrics.
Coincidently I heard the same song on radio 1 at 3.16 pm today, it's a song from apparently 1987, played by the group M|A|R|R|S from the UK...........
